Parking
Free parking is available in a lot immediately outside the aquarium. However, a Recreation Passport is required for all vehicles entering the park. The Recreation Passport grants access to parks, camp sites, and boat ramps managed by the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources. If you don't already have a Recreation Passport, you may purchase one at the park. Note that there are several types of passports:
- $11 for Michigan registered vehicles
- $5 for Michigan registered motorcycles
- $16 for buses and commercial vehicles
- $31 for out of state vehicle annual pass
- $9 for out of state daily pass
Recreation Passports are available for purchase through state parks, the Belle Isle Park Administration Building, or at the Outdoor Adventure Center.
