Join us in celebrating the amazing Atlanta-based women in tech community that Girl Develop It has helped to build up over the last two years. Hear brief remarks from some of our incredible members whose lives have been impacted by their involvement with GDI and mingle with community members who’ve supported the growth and success of Girl Develop It throughout our two years.
By the numbers, we've grown into a community of over 1,500 members, 18 instructors, 60 active volunteers and have held almost 50 events including classes, informational talks, and socials.
What's the best way to commemorate those achievements and our 2-year milestone? By throwing a party of course!
Join us on Thursday, September 22 at The Iron Yard, for a night of celebration. All are welcome - bring along family, friends, and colleagues. Get dressed up or come as you are to share a toast with us - to the accomplishments we’ve all made as a community!
- Dine & Wine: Food and drinks will be on the house! Come hungry! Also, cake.
- Member Remarks: Hear from students, instructors, and volunteers whose lives have been impacted by their involvement with Girl Develop It.
- T-Shirts: We’ve got a new t-shirt design and we think you’ll like it!!
- Fundraiser Raffle: We’ll have an exciting assortment of products, services, and more - much from local businesses! - for attendees to try their luck at!
- Photo Booth: Who doesn’t love a goofy photo booth picture?!
- Braid Bar: Let your hair down for the night - and get it braided at our Briad Bar.
- Swag: And who doesn’t love swag?!?! You won’t want to miss what we’ve got in store!
All proceeds from the event will go toward Girl Develop It programming and scholarships to help women, including underrepresented and unemployed women, who take our classes to further their careers.
All attendees are expected to abide by the Girl Develop It Code of Conduct.
